• Schedule: Day and night rotation, every other weekend, holidays as needed
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,730 - $1,820
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Setting: Adult cardiac stepdown / intermediate care unit

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license for Washington, DC; pending DC license may be accepted with proof of pending status at submission, but the license must be in hand before the start date
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience required
• At least 1 previous travel nursing assignment required
• Experience in PCU, IMC, stepdown, or telemetry strongly preferred
• Experience managing dysrhythmias and caring for ventilated patients
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Comfort working with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Flu vaccination required; COVID-19 vaccination not required

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care for cardiac stepdown and intermediate care patients
• Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias to support safe patient outcomes
• Care for patients with medical diagnoses and complex cardiac needs
• Support patients who may require ventilatory assistance and close clinical observation
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy, IV teams, pharmacy, physical therapy, and other support services
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the charting system
• Work rotating day and night shifts while maintaining strong communication with the care team
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a high-performing stepdown environment
