Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1 year of PACU, post-op, perioperative, or acute care nursing experience
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
• Ability to care for both pediatric and adult patient populations
• Experience with ophthalmology, ENT, head and neck, and complex surgical cases preferred
• Ability to thrive in a high-acuity, fast-paced recovery environment
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and patient advocacy skills

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, evidence-based PACU nursing care in the Phase I recovery unit
• Monitor patients during the immediate post-anesthesia period and support physiologic stability
• Assess for and respond promptly to post-operative complications
• Care for patients recovering from a wide range of surgical procedures, including specialty and complex cases
• Safely transition patients to Phase II recovery, inpatient units, or intensive care settings as clinically indicated
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to promote safe outcomes
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to support a smooth recovery experience
