• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Schedule: Day and night rotations, including every other weekend
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,750-$1,840
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Setting: High-volume emergency department / emergency services department
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics

Job Requirements

• Active DC RN license in hand or pending DC license accepted at time of submission, with license finalized before the start date
• BLS and ACLS required
• 2+ years of recent emergency room nursing experience required
• At least 1 previous travel nurse assignment required
• Community hospital experience required
• Ability to work rotating shifts and weekend coverage
• Comfortable providing high-acuity emergency care in a fast-paced ER environment
• Flu vaccination required; COVID-19 vaccination not required

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate care to patients in a busy emergency department
• Assess, triage, and monitor patients with a wide range of acute and complex conditions
• Perform critical interventions, including IV therapy, medication administration, and emergency response support
• Manage patients requiring advanced emergency care such as ventilation support, stroke evaluation, trauma response, and cardiac monitoring
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Maintain accurate documentation and deliver safe, efficient, patient-centered care
• Support a team-oriented environment in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare setting
