• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
• Schedule: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM; 3 weekend shifts in 4 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
• Charting System: Epic
• Orientation: Jump Start orientation with hospital and nursing onboarding, including Epic training
• Floating: May float to other medical units as needed
• Dress Code: Caribbean blue scrubs

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in Indiana or a compact RN license
• BLS certification through AHA
• At least 1.5 years of Level 1, Level 2, or tertiary care experience
• At least 1 year of experience in a large hospital setting (450+ beds)
• Strong med/surg clinical background and comfort with floating to related medical units
• Experience with Epic charting preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical-surgical nursing care to a diverse patient population
• Perform patient assessments, care planning, and ongoing clinical monitoring
• Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team to support patient outcomes
• Manage IV therapy, heparin and insulin drips, feeding tubes, chest tubes, and other common med/surg interventions
• Use hospital equipment and systems such as IV pumps, telemetry, Pyxis, Accucheck, SCDs, and wound vacs
• Care for patients with a variety of diagnoses including respiratory, cardiac, renal, GI, infectious disease, neurological, and behavioral health needs
• Support patients undergoing procedures and minor surgeries as part of the med/surg workflow
• Float to other medical units based on staffing and patient care needs
• Deliver safe, compassionate, and efficient care while maintaining high clinical standards
