• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
• Setting: Pediatric Acute Care / Pediatric Medical-Surgical Unit
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Schedule: Every other weekend required; holidays required unless approved during interview

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing or pediatric nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• Experience caring for pediatric medical-surgical patients preferred
• Comfort working with monitored patients in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Ability to collaborate with nurses, hospitalists, residents, and other clinical staff
• Willingness to float within pediatric areas as needed, including mom/baby for appropriate assignments
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and every other weekend

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality pediatric nursing care to patients with acute and medical-surgical diagnoses
• Assess patient status, monitor for changes in condition, and respond promptly to clinical needs
• Administer medications, perform treatments, and support individualized care plans
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, efficient, patient-centered care
• Care for patients requiring respiratory support such as heated high flow or BiPAP within established parameters
• Use pediatric monitoring systems and communicate concerns appropriately
• Float to other pediatric units or mother/baby assignments when needed and appropriate
• Maintain professional, family-centered care in a busy but well-supported pediatric acute care setting
