Job Details

• Position: Travel Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: November 9, 2026
• Orientation: 20 hours
• Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Rotation based on operational need
• Floating: Required as needed
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
• Location: Madison, WI 53718

Job Requirements

• Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience within the last 3 years in Med/Surg Telemetry
• Epic charting experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Must pass telemetry testing prior to start, with strict passing criteria
• Ability to work night shifts, float as needed, and support weekend/holiday rotation
• Must be eligible for assignment within local radius requirements

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate med-surg telemetry nursing care to adult and geriatric patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to telemetry changes and urgent patient needs
• Administer medications and treatments according to clinical standards and patient care plans
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support positive patient outcomes
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in Epic
• Support unit operations by floating when needed and participating in scheduled weekend/holiday coverage
• Maintain strong clinical judgment, communication, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Contribute to a positive patient experience through attentive, reliable bedside care
