• Setting: Acute care medical-surgical telemetry unit
• Schedule Notes: Weekend and holiday rotations based on operational need
• Additional: Free onsite parking

Job Requirements

• Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty area
• Epic charting experience required
• BLS certification from AHA required
• Telemetry exam required prior to start with strict passing criteria
• Travel nursing experience required
• Ability to float as needed
• Comfort working with adult and geriatric patient populations

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care for Med/Surg telemetry patients in an acute care setting
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to telemetry changes
• Administer medications and treatments according to clinical standards and patient needs
• Perform ongoing patient assessments, document findings, and communicate changes in condition
• Support care for patients with a variety of medical and surgical diagnoses
• Manage IV therapy, central access devices, and related patient care tasks as needed
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care team members to promote positive patient outcomes
• Maintain a professional, compassionate approach in a busy hospital nursing environment
