• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,070 - $2,180
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Shifts Per Week: 3
• Schedule: Day and night rotation in 6-week intervals; every other weekend required
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Charting System: Epic
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Patient Population: Neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, and adults

Job Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or Compact RN license in hand
• Minimum 2 years of pediatric cardiac stepdown experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Strong references required at time of submission, including at least one manager or supervisor reference
• Must be willing to float as needed
• Ability to work in a high-acuity pediatric setting with complex cardiac patients

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate care to pediatric cardiac stepdown patients with both medical and surgical diagnoses
• Manage patients with trachs, vents, high-flow nasal cannula, inotropes, and post-op cardiac needs
• Support care for post-cardiac cath and post-CTICU patients
• Monitor and respond to dysrhythmias, respiratory status changes, and complex clinical needs
• Administer blood products, IV therapies, TPN/lipids, and antiarrhythmic medications as ordered
• Perform pediatric dosage calculations and provide wound, tube, and line care
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure excellent outcomes for a diverse patient population
• Float to other units as needed based on assignment requirements
