Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Operating Room nursing experience
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Texas
• Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications
• Experience with general surgery, orthopedic, neuro, trauma, and ENT cases
• Pediatric operating room experience preferred
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Ability to adapt quickly in a high-volume surgical services setting
• Must be available for required call and some holidays

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient perioperative nursing care across a variety of surgical procedures
• Assist with patient preparation, intraoperative support, and post-procedure recovery coordination as needed
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the OR team to maintain smooth workflow
• Support cases involving general, orthopedic, neurological, trauma, ENT, and other specialty procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record
• Uphold infection prevention, safety, and sterile technique standards at all times
• Participate in call coverage and scheduled weekend rotations
• Contribute to a positive, patient-focused surgical experience
