Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of ER nursing experience required; 2 years of experience preferred in a high-acuity or trauma setting
- Experience working in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment
- Strong teamwork mindset with the ability to coach and receive feedback in real time
- Flexibility to work across all areas of the ED
- Required certifications prior to start: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS
- ENPC required within 90 days of hire
- Ability to work every other weekend and adapt to department scheduling needs
- Comfortable using electronic medical record systems; Cerner experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate, and efficient emergency nursing care to ED patients
- Assess, triage, and prioritize patients based on acuity and clinical need
- Support care for a wide range of emergency cases in a high-volume hospital setting
- Collaborate with physicians, techs, and unit clerks to ensure smooth patient flow
- Maintain clear communication with patients and families using a respectful, patient-first approach
- Update patient information and support an excellent patient experience throughout the visit
- Monitor patients closely and respond quickly to changes in condition
- Document care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record
- Participate in a supportive team culture focused on quality, safety, and positive outcomes
