- Setting: Short-term acute care, Level II trauma and pediatric trauma environment
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; compact license required at time of submission if applicable
- Minimum of 1 year of recent PCU, stepdown, or progressive care nursing experience required
- Cardiac drip titration and management experience is a hard requirement
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
- Experience with telemetry and Epic charting strongly preferred
- Ability to care for adult and geriatric patients in a high-acuity setting
- Comfort working a flexible schedule, including every other weekend and selected holidays
- Strong teamwork, communication, and critical-thinking skills
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to PCU/stepdown patients with complex cardiac needs
- Titrate and manage cardiac and vasoactive drips per unit standards
- Monitor telemetry and respond appropriately to rhythm changes and patient status updates
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support safe, effective patient outcomes
- Administer medications, perform treatments, and maintain accurate clinical documentation in Epic
- Float to other appropriate units when needed based on staffing needs
- Support a patient-centered environment with professionalism, flexibility, and strong clinical judgment
