• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Contract Length: 20 weeks
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,770 - $1,860
• Schedule Highlights: Every other weekend required; floating may be required; self-scheduling with leadership oversight

Telemetry RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or Compact license eligibility
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in telemetry, cardiac stepdown, or a similar acute care setting
• Experience caring for patients with cardiac and stroke diagnoses
• Strong clinical skills in telemetry monitoring, IV start, and management of cardiac drips
• Ability to care for pre- and post-procedure cardiac patients and interpret dysrhythmias
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Comfort working in a fast-paced inpatient unit with 1:5-6 patient ratios
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Open to floating within the unit as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult cardiac and stroke patients in a telemetry nursing environment
• Monitor telemetry, assess cardiac rhythms, and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
• Manage cardiac drips and support care for patients with pacemakers, ICDs, chest pain, CHF, dysrhythmias, and post-cardiac catheterization needs
• Deliver safe, timely care for pre- and post-procedure patients, including those recovering from cardiac interventions
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support admissions, discharges, and coordinated patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively using established unit workflows
• Adapt to a high-volume acute care environment while maintaining strong attention to detail and patient safety
