Job Details

• Position: Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Tele
• Employment Type: Travel RN
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
• Shift Time: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Ohio or a compact state license in hand at time of submission
• At least 1 year of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry or a closely related acute care nursing specialty
• Active AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• Willingness to obtain NIHSS prior to start
• One recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty
• Ability to successfully complete ECG rhythm recognition testing and safe medication administration testing during orientation
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and adaptability in a fast-paced hospital environment

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to Med/Surg Tele patients with a focus on safe, compassionate, and timely care
• Monitor telemetry, interpret rhythm changes, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Administer medications, perform assessments, and support care planning for assigned patients
• Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care and support positive outcomes
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately and thoroughly in the medical record
• Promote a safe, organized, and efficient unit environment while delivering excellent bedside care
