• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Shift Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, every other weekend, rotating holidays
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 - $2,370

Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• 2 years of recent ER RN or Emergency Department nursing experience required
• At least 1 year of travel ER nurse experience required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required and maintained
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required and maintained
• Successful completion of pharmacology and basic arrhythmia exams
• Strong communication skills in English, including reading and writing
• Demonstrated skills in IV administration, IV starts, ventilator care, and telemetry monitoring
• De-escalation certification course preferred
• TNCC, ENPC, and PALS certifications preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses in the emergency setting
• Maintain accurate, current documentation and support care planning throughout the patient stay
• Communicate relevant patient information to the care team and collaborate on discharge planning
• Demonstrate proficiency in the charge nurse role when needed
• Serve as a resource for patient care, orientation, and staff education
• Follow safety procedures and adhere to blood/body fluid policies
• Support quality improvement efforts and patient care standards
• Provide excellent service to patients, families, visitors, volunteers, and coworkers
• Perform additional related duties as assigned
