Setting: 9-bed ICU with a 2:1 and 3:1 patient ratio

Job Details

• Travel RN position in a fast-paced Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• 36 guaranteed hours per week for this critical care nursing assignment
• Self-scheduling with manager oversight
• Weekend coverage expected as part of the schedule
• Unit uses modern clinical equipment, including ventilators, IV pumps, and advanced patient monitoring systems
• Electronic documentation experience with Meditech is preferred

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 2 years of ICU or critical care nursing experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Strong teamwork, communication, and clinical assessment skills
• Experience with ventilators, IV drip titration, and arterial line management
• Ability to adapt quickly in a travel nursing environment and support new graduate RN education as needed
• Willingness to float to Med-Surg or ED for critical staffing needs

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality care to critically ill patients in the ICU
• Monitor patient status closely and respond to changes in condition
• Titrate IV drips and manage ventilators according to patient needs and provider orders
• Assist with and support procedures such as intubation, central line insertion, and arterial line insertion
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team to promote excellent patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow unit protocols
• Deliver patient-centered care while supporting bedside shift report and communication best practices
