• Patient Ratio: 6:1
• Scheduling: Approximately every other weekend

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing or acute care nursing experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Cardiac nursing knowledge preferred
• Experience with telemetry and cardiac drips such as Heparin, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Amiodarone preferred
• Comfort with Meditech documentation preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate bedside care to adult Medical-Surgical patients
• Monitor telemetry, assess cardiac rhythms, and document findings accurately each shift
• Administer and titrate cardiac medications and IV drips per unit standards
• Manage chest tubes, wound vacs, and routine EKG needs as assigned
• Complete bedside rounding and hourly rounding to support positive patient outcomes
• Collaborate with charge nurses, patient care technicians, and the broader acute care team
• Float to similar Med/Surg areas when needed based on skill mix and unit needs
• Maintain a professional appearance and follow all unit safety and documentation standards
