• Setting: Pediatric Step-Down Unit
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 26, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,620 - $1,700

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum 1 year of current Pediatric RN experience
• BLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• Experience with high-flow oxygen, spinal fusion patients, and chest tubes
• Comfort working in a fast-paced pediatric healthcare environment
• Meditech experience preferred
• Previous travel nurse experience preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused clinical setting

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to pediatric step-down patients
• Monitor and manage children with mixed-acuity needs, including post-surgical and respiratory support cases
• Perform common pediatric nursing procedures such as NG tube care, Foley catheter care, TP tube care, IV placement, and phlebotomy
• Support safe, effective care for patients requiring high-flow oxygen and other monitored interventions
• Collaborate with charge nurses, patient care techs, and clinical support staff to maintain smooth unit operations
• Communicate clearly with the care team and be willing to ask for help when needed
• Contribute to a positive, flexible, team-oriented healthcare culture
