Job Details

• Position: Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse
• Employment Type: Travel RN / Travel Nursing Job
• Location: Powell, Tennessee, near Knoxville in East Tennessee
• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
• Start Date: October 19, 2026

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant acute care or cardiac nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS required
• Cerner experience preferred
• Previous travel nurse experience preferred
• Ability to complete required learning modules before assignment start
• Comfort working in a patient ratio of approximately 5:1
• Must be willing to follow professional dress expectations, including royal blue scrub color guidelines

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to cardiac stepdown patients
• Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Administer medications and support treatment plans as ordered
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner in the electronic health record
• Support patient recovery, education, and discharge readiness
• Maintain a high standard of professionalism and patient-centered care
