• Schedule: 4x10-hour day shifts, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Shift Duration: 10 hours
• Hours per Week: 40
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,370 - $2,500
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Call Requirements: Required, including weekday and weekend call coverage
• Patient Population: Adult cardiovascular and thoracic surgical patients

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent CVOR experience
• At least 1 prior travel nurse assignment required
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS preferred
• Must be able to scrub
• Experience with open-heart surgery required
• Strong background in cardiovascular, vascular, and thoracic surgical procedures
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced operating room environment
• Previous experience in perioperative nursing or cardiac surgery nursing strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Circulate and scrub for heart, vascular, and thoracic surgical cases
• Support complex procedures including CABG, valve replacement, AAA repair, carotid endarterectomy, TAVR, and other structural heart cases
• Provide safe, efficient intraoperative nursing care for adult patients
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the perioperative team to ensure excellent patient outcomes
• Participate in weekday and weekend call coverage as scheduled
• Maintain professionalism, flexibility, and strong clinical judgment in a high-acuity setting
• Support workflow, patient safety, and operating room efficiency throughout each surgical case
