• Orientation: 12 hours
• Scheduling: Self-scheduling
• Weekend Coverage: 6 weekend shifts per contract
• Setting: ICU with stepdown acuity patients as needed

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in Tennessee or a compact multistate nursing license
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and CPI required; MAB accepted in lieu of CPI
• Experience with electronic charting systems required
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Comfortable working in a secure patient-care environment
• Ability to complete pre-start EKG and sedation testing
• COVID-19 and flu vaccination required, with medical or religious exemptions only

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality critical care nursing to adult and geriatric patients
• Monitor and manage ventilated patients, arterial lines, central lines, and vasoactive or cardiac drips
• Support patients with sepsis, respiratory failure, stroke, MI, DKA, dialysis, and post-procedure recovery
• Assist with bedside procedures, conscious sedation, chest tube management, and rapid response/code blue situations
• Provide care for stepdown acuity patients when needed and float to lower-acuity areas within scope of practice
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, phlebotomy, and rapid response teams
• Maintain strong infection prevention, patient safety, and clinical documentation standards
• Adapt to a dynamic intensive care environment with a diverse patient population and strong teamwork expectations
