Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020-$2,130
• Setting: Acute care telemetry unit
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift Pattern: Nights with weekends as scheduled
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Charting System: Epic
• Orientation: Computer training, floor shadowing, then independent practice with support
• Location: Parkersburg, West Virginia

Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of recent telemetry nursing or acute care nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Ability to confidently read telemetry strips and recognize cardiac rhythm changes
• Experience managing cardiac and medical-surgical patients preferred
• Comfort titrating Heparin and supporting common cardiac drips
• Ability to work collaboratively in a high-volume, team-based healthcare setting
• Strong communication skills and a patient-focused mindset

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to telemetry patients with cardiac and medical diagnoses
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret telemetry strips accurately
• Assess patients, document findings, and promptly communicate changes in condition
• Administer medications and titrate Heparin as ordered
• Support patients recovering from cardiac procedures and those with CHF, COPD, and arrhythmias
• Manage admissions, discharges, and ongoing patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Collaborate with charge nurses, monitor technicians, and the care team to support unit flow
• Float within skillset as needed to support patient care across approved areas
