• Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse Assignment
• Setting: Acute Care Operating Room / Perioperative Nursing
• Location: Charleston, WV 25301
• Start Date: 09/21/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 8-hour days
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, with occasional late stays to complete cases
• Call: Weekday, weekend, and holiday call may be required
• Charting System: EPIC
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,450 - $2,580

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room Nurse experience
• Experience as both scrub and circulator in ambulatory surgery procedures
• Ophthalmology experience required, including independent cataract and cornea cases
• BLS certification required
• Ability to respond to call within 30 minutes
• Flexibility to float to other surgical departments as needed
• Strong teamwork, adaptability, and comfort working in a high-volume surgical environment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient perioperative nursing care in the operating room
• Scrub and circulate a variety of surgical procedures
• Support cases including ophthalmology, minor general surgery, minor spine stabilization, spinal cord stimulators, ENT, dental, and other ambulatory procedures
• Assist with preoperative and intraoperative patient care while maintaining a smooth workflow
• Collaborate with the surgical team to keep cases moving and help ensure timely room turnover
• Participate in call coverage for evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
• Follow unit protocols, safety standards, and documentation requirements in EPIC
