Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele, Medical-Surgical nursing, or a related acute care specialty
• Active permanent Ohio RN license or compact RN license in hand at the time of submission
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Ability to work rotating day and night shifts, including every other holiday
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
• One reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty from the past 12 months
• Must meet all pre-start compliance and onboarding requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to Medical/Surgical Telemetry patients in an acute care environment
• Monitor telemetry, recognize rhythm changes, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support safe patient outcomes
• Care for a same-patient-population assignment and float as needed within similar inpatient units
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow facility standards for patient safety and quality care
• Participate in orientation, competencies, and required assessments to support success in the travel nurse role
