Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• Active Illinois RN license or currently in the application process with an ETA to apply
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Travel RN experience required
• Cerner experience required
• Comfort working in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Experience with telemetry, wound care, IV therapy, and common Med/Surg diagnoses required

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality bedside care to adult and geriatric Med/Surg patients
• Monitor patients with complex medical conditions and changing clinical needs
• Support telemetry monitoring and respond appropriately to clinical changes
• Perform IV therapy, blood product administration, and line care as needed
• Manage wound care, wound vacs, isolation precautions, and respiratory support interventions
• Administer medications safely, including insulin, heparin, and PCA therapy
• Collaborate with physicians, rapid response teams, therapists, and other care partners
• Float within scope to meet unit and facility needs
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining strong clinical documentation
