Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in hand at time of submission
• At least 1 year of nursing experience required; 2 years of med/surg experience preferred
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Strong clinical skills in medical-surgical and neuro patient care
• Ability to work night shifts and manage a 1:6 patient ratio
• Must be comfortable with telemetry and continuous pulse oximetry monitoring

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to medical-surgical and neurological patients
• Complete focused neuro assessments and monitor for changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and support patient safety initiatives
• Care for patients with stroke, TIA, seizure disorders, traumatic brain injury, and related diagnoses
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to support recovery and discharge planning
• Use Epic accurately and efficiently for documentation and care coordination
• Respond appropriately to telemetry changes, rapid response needs, and evolving patient needs
• Promote a patient-centered environment focused on comfort, recovery, and positive outcomes
