- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts
- Shifts Per Week: 3
- Weekly Hours: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,930 - $2,030
- Setting: Emergency Department with 42 beds and an average daily census of 200
- Charting System: Cerner preferred
- Patient Population: Neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with the ability to start on time
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience in a similarly sized setting
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
- Experience with Level II or Level III trauma care
- Strong comfort level caring for both adult and pediatric emergency patients
- Ability to work night shifts and adapt quickly in a high-acuity emergency department environment
- Cerner experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Deliver prompt, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions
- Perform triage, rapid assessment, and prioritization of patient needs in a busy ER setting
- Support care for trauma, respiratory, cardiac, neurological, and behavioral health emergencies
- Administer medications, start and maintain IVs, and assist with emergency procedures as needed
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary partners including respiratory services, pharmacy, social services, and unit support staff
- Monitor patient status closely and respond quickly to changes in condition
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold departmental standards and patient safety practices
- Provide patient-centered care while helping create a calm, efficient emergency department experience
