• Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekend Coverage: Yes; 6 weekend shifts per 6 weeks
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Location: Nashville, Tennessee 37208
• Start Date: 10/19/2026

Job Requirements

• Active Tennessee RN license or compact multi-state nursing license required at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience required
• Current Nursys report required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and CPI (MAB accepted in lieu of CPI)
• Comfortable floating to other Med/Surg and Telemetry units, as well as Forensics, ED, and Post Partum
• Ability to care for a diverse patient population, including patients from correctional settings
• Must be willing to complete a pre-start EKG test
• COVID-19 and flu vaccination required, with medical or religious exemptions only

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality nursing care to Medical-Surgical patients
• Monitor patient conditions, assess changes, and respond appropriately to clinical needs
• Administer medications and perform treatments in accordance with nursing standards and hospital protocols
• Support patients with telemetry monitoring, wound care, IV management, and related clinical tasks
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary care team to promote positive patient outcomes
• Float to assigned units as needed to support staffing needs across the facility
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow unit policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
• Participate in holiday rotation and adhere to scheduling expectations, including weekend coverage
