• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,770 - $1,860
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Employment Type: Travel RN
• Shift: Night shift, 12-hour shifts
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Orientation: 12 hours
• Setting: ED holding / inpatient boarding support within a float pool environment
• Patient Population: Adult and geriatric medical-surgical patients, with some PCU-level acuity
• Charting System: Epic

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or a compact state; pending licensure may be accepted for submission
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required
• Previous travel nurse experience required
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Strong telemetry nursing experience, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Comfortable caring for medically complex adult patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting
• Experience with Epic preferred
• Open to floating to ED, Med/Surg, and related inpatient areas as needed
• Ability to work weekends and maintain flexibility with scheduling

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality medical-surgical nursing care to adult patients awaiting inpatient placement in an ED holding environment
• Manage Med/Surg Tele cases and support PCU-level patients when needed
• Monitor telemetry, recognize rhythm changes, and respond appropriately to clinical deterioration
• Administer medications and therapies safely, including blood products, heparin, insulin, and respiratory support as ordered
• Perform and support common bedside procedures such as IV management, phlebotomy, PICC care, feeding tube care, and tracheostomy care
• Collaborate with rapid response, respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and other interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Float within the hospital as assigned to meet patient care needs
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively using standard hospital workflows
• Deliver safe, compassionate, and efficient care in a high-turnover, high-acuity environment
