Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at submission; compact license accepted
- Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience
- BLS certification required
- NRP certification required
- CLS certification preferred/required per assignment needs
- Experience with Level II NICU admissions and normal newborn care
- Ability to support infants 32 weeks gestation and greater
- Strong experience with high-risk deliveries and neonatal care procedures
- Comfort with floating as needed
- Ability to provide two professional references covering recent experience
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled neonatal nursing care to infants in a Level II NICU / Special Care Nursery
- Attend vaginal and cesarean deliveries, including high-risk deliveries
- Support newborns requiring CPAP/BiPAP, feeding tubes, and syringe pumps
- Perform neonatal feedings, dosage calculations, and respiratory support monitoring
- Manage oral, nasogastric, and nasojejunal tubes as indicated
- Collaborate with physicians and the care team to deliver safe, family-centered neonatal care
- Float to nearby sister facilities when needed based on staffing demands
- Maintain professionalism, flexibility, and strong communication throughout the assignment
