• Position: Pediatric Operating Room Registered Nurse (Travel RN)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Setting: Pediatric Operating Room / Perioperative Nursing
• Location: Madison, WI 53792
• Start Date: October 12, 2026
• End Date: January 11, 2027
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday
• Shift Hours: 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,520 to $2,650
• Orientation: 32 hours
• On-Call: 1 weekend every 6-8 weeks, 1 weeknight per week, and holidays as needed
• Hours: 40 hours per week

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin or a compact state
• At least 2 years of acute care nursing experience within the last 3 years in the specialty
• Experience in pediatric OR, ambulatory OR, and pediatric trauma required
• Kidney transplant experience required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• PALS certification required
• Epic charting experience preferred/required
• Ability to successfully complete required pre-start telemetry testing
• Comfort working with pediatric patients across multiple age groups, including infants and adolescents

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care in a pediatric operating room environment
• Support surgical procedures involving pediatric, ambulatory, and trauma cases
• Assist with complex surgical cases, including transplant-related procedures
• Maintain sterile technique, prepare instruments, and ensure OR readiness
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Monitor patient status and respond appropriately throughout the perioperative process
• Accurately document patient care and procedures in Epic
• Participate in on-call coverage and respond to urgent clinical needs as scheduled
• Deliver compassionate care to pediatric patients and families in a fast-paced surgical setting
