• Hours: 36 hours per week

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,710-$1,800
• Patient Population: Adult patients
• Unit Setting: Intermediate care / stepdown with telemetry monitoring
• Float Requirement: May float to Telemetry and Medical-Surgical units as needed
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required
• Orientation: 24 hours

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license eligible for Maryland practice
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in PCU, IMC, Stepdown, or Telemetry nursing
• At least 1 completed travel assignment required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Successful completion of an EKG rhythm interpretation exam with a minimum score of 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Experience caring for adult patients with cardiac and medical complexity
• Comfort working 12-hour night shifts and providing coverage every other weekend
• Ability to float to Telemetry and Medical-Surgical areas as needed
• Strong assessment skills, adaptability, and excellent teamwork in an acute care environment

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adults in a monitored Cardiac Stepdown / IMC setting
• Monitor telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Manage patients with cardiac, respiratory, renal, infectious, and post-surgical diagnoses
• Provide care for chest tubes, PCA infusions, IV infusions, non-titratable drips, and bedside monitoring
• Support patients requiring BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow oxygen, IV starts, and line management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote safe, efficient patient care
• Float to Telemetry and Medical-Surgical units when operationally needed
• Maintain a professional, compassionate approach in a fast-paced acute care setting
