• Location: Gardner, MA 01440
• Start Date: 10/05/2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
• Schedule: Every other weekend and every other holiday

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Massachusetts RN license
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
• Previous telemetry experience required
• ICU experience preferred
• Med-surg experience preferred
• ACLS required upon hire, or active BLS with AHA ACLS obtained within 60 days of hire
• CCRN preferred
• Strong critical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills

ICU Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for critically ill patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, EKG changes, vital signs, and hemodynamic status
• Administer medications, IV therapy, vasoactive drips, anticoagulation, and thrombolytic therapy safely and accurately
• Care for ventilated and intubated patients, including suctioning, troubleshooting, and weaning support
• Interpret ABGs, pulse oximetry, and signs of impaired gas exchange
• Assist with invasive monitoring, arterial and central venous access, and critical care procedures
• Provide thorough documentation, patient education, and timely handoff reports
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team during daily rounds to coordinate the best possible care
• Support post-operative recovery and implement evidence-based protocols and bundles
• Promote patient safety, quality improvement, and a positive care environment
