RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or a Compact state; pending license acceptable for submission
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Telemetry RN experience required
• IV start experience required
• BLS required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability in a busy surgical care environment
• Open to floating within or near the facility as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to post-surgical patients with diagnoses including colorectal, general surgery, hepatobiliary, orthopedics/spine, vascular, and GI conditions
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Perform IV starts and maintain peripheral, central, and line care as assigned
• Administer medications and support treatments according to unit protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, respiratory services, pharmacy, and other interdisciplinary care team members
• Document accurately in Epic and communicate effectively using SBAR
• Support patient education, discharge planning, and continuity of care
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented unit culture focused on quality outcomes
