• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,110 - $2,220
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Shift Pattern: 3 shifts per week; every other weekend
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Unit: Cardiac Stepdown / PCU
• Charting System: Epic
• On-Call: Not required
• Floating: May float to Telemetry or Medical-Surgical units when needed

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent RN experience required
• Stepdown, PCU, telemetry, or progressive care experience strongly preferred
• Must be able to titrate and manage cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Experience with telemetry and continuous cardiac monitoring required
• Active RN license required; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Ability to work every other weekend and commit to assigned holidays as scheduled
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and comfort caring for complex cardiac patients

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients with diagnoses such as CHF, Afib RVR, chest pain, and post-cardiac catheterization needs
• Monitor telemetry and recognize changes in rhythm, hemodynamic status, and patient condition
• Titrate and manage cardiac and vasoactive drips according to unit standards and provider orders
• Deliver safe, effective care for patients requiring cardiac monitoring and advanced stepdown support
• Administer medications, perform assessments, and coordinate interventions with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Respond appropriately to rapid changes in patient status and collaborate with rapid response resources when needed
• Float to Telemetry or Medical-Surgical units as assigned when the unit is overstaffed
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and uphold best practices for patient safety and quality care
