• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Shift Pattern: Day and night rotation
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250-$2,370
• Start Date: 10/23/2026
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Unit Setting: Cardiac stepdown / progressive care environment with potential floating to similar patient care areas as needed

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of combined permanent experience in cardiac stepdown, progressive care, telemetry, or a related acute care nursing specialty
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission; compact RN license accepted if eligible
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Strong cardiac stepdown, telemetry, or progressive care experience preferred
• Ability to work rotating day/night shifts and every other holiday as needed
• Must successfully complete ECG rhythm recognition testing and safeMedicate during orientation
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty within the past 12 months
• Must be able to provide all required documentation promptly for onboarding and compliance

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients with complex acute and progressive needs
• Monitor telemetry, assess changes in patient condition, and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team
• Administer medications, support treatment plans, and provide ongoing patient education
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to promote safe, efficient, patient-centered care
• Respond appropriately to changes in cardiac status and escalate concerns when indicated
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow clinical standards, protocols, and patient safety practices
• Adapt to rotating assignments and provide support across similar units when floated
