Job Details

• Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse Contract
• Setting: Short-term acute care hospital, Level II trauma center
• Location: Milford, Connecticut (near New Haven)
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,090 - $2,200
• Start Date: 10/09/2026
• Charting System: EPIC
• Schedule Notes: Every other weekend required; floating as needed

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
• Experience in a combined adult/pediatric Emergency Department setting
• Active RN license; Connecticut nursing license must be obtained prior to start
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
• Strong dysrhythmia management skills in a high-acuity emergency care setting
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line care, and maintaining IV access
• Experience administering IV vasopressors
• Ability to care for patients requiring CPAP/BiPAP or ventilator support
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and triage best practices

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to adult and pediatric patients
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patients in a busy emergency department
• Monitor and respond to dysrhythmias and other urgent clinical changes
• Manage IV therapy, central lines, and medication infusions as ordered
• Support respiratory needs for patients requiring CPAP, BiPAP, or ventilator support
• Collaborate with the care team to deliver safe, efficient, patient-centered care
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and follow unit protocols
• Adapt quickly to changing patient volumes and clinical priorities
