Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,640 - $1,730
• Setting: Medical/Surgical unit
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours per Week: 36
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and holiday coverage
• Floating: May float between similar Med/Surg units
• Unit Size: 30 beds
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Documentation System: EdiTech

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg nursing or acute care nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Experience with IV starts and lab draws
• Ability to place NGTs and provide wound care
• Strong understanding of cardiac rhythms and rhythm interpretation
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, patient-centered healthcare environment
• Positive attitude with excellent communication and service recovery skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to a diverse medical-surgical patient population
• Perform IV starts, lab draws, NGT placement, and wound care as needed
• Monitor telemetry and assess cardiac rhythms with accuracy
• Support patients and families with professionalism, compassion, and responsiveness
• Collaborate with patient care techs, charge nurses, coordinators, and leadership to ensure smooth unit flow
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record
• Adapt to changing patient needs and support floating within similar units when required
• Contribute to a team culture that values learning, recognition, and exceptional patient experience
