Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of cardiac telemetry nursing experience
• Experience managing a 4-5 patient ratio in a telemetry or progressive care environment
• ACLS and BLS required
• NIHSS preferred
• IMC or step-down experience preferred
• Strong experience with Epic charting
• Comfortable working as a travel nurse on night shifts with weekend coverage
• Ability to meet fit testing compliance requirements

Cardiac Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to telemetry and progressive cardiac patients
• Monitor, interpret, and respond to dysrhythmias and changes in patient condition
• Care for patients with post-MI, pre/post cardiac surgery, and vascular-related diagnoses
• Administer and manage IV insulin protocols, blood products, IV therapy, and heparin protocols
• Support patients with chest tubes, tracheostomy care, feeding tube management, and wound care
• Perform respiratory support interventions such as nasal cannulas, BiPAP/CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula as needed
• Manage complex medical needs including renal failure and pre/post hemodialysis care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to promote safe, efficient, high-quality patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic
