Travel Registered Nurse (RN) needed for a 13-week long-term care contract in Raton, New Mexico. Join a dedicated team caring for residents in a 25-bed long-term care and intermediate care setting. Travel RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800–$1,890
• Specialty: Long-Term Care / Intermediate Care Registered Nurse
• Healthcare Setting: 25-bed long-term care unit
• Schedule: Rotating 36/48-hour schedule within a Saturday-through-Friday workweek
• Shift: Rotating 12-hour shifts; day shift 6:30 a.m.–6:30 p.m. or night shift 6:30 p.m.–6:30 a.m.
• Hours: Approximately 36 hours per week
• Start Date: October 12, 2026
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks, ending January 11, 2027
• Schedule Expectations: Flexibility to work days or nights, weekends, and some holidays is required
• Work Environment: On-site; floating may be required within the hospital or to a nearby affiliated location
• Location: Raton, New Mexico

Registered Nurse (RN) Qualifications

• At least 1 year of Registered Nurse experience, preferably in long-term care, intermediate care, or a comparable healthcare setting
• Active New Mexico RN license or compact RN license in hand at the time of submission
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• PointClickCare experience required
• Cerner electronic medical record experience required
• Strong assessment, medication administration, documentation, and resident-care skills
• Ability to work a rotating schedule that includes weekends, holidays, and either day or night shifts
• Ability to provide two professional references
• Must be willing to float as needed in accordance with applicable policies and standards
• Applicants residing within 100 miles of the assignment location are not eligible

Long-Term Care RN Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, individualized nursing care to long-term care and intermediate care residents
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and monitor changes in residents’ conditions
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Develop, implement, and evaluate resident-centered plans of care
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, providers, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Respond promptly to clinical changes and coordinate appropriate interventions
• Support continuity of care during shift changes, transfers, and transitions
• Promote resident safety, dignity, comfort, and quality of life
• Adapt to rotating assignments and support coverage needs across designated care areas
