Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Travel Nursing Contract in Clyde, North Carolina

Travel PCU RN opportunity in Clyde, North Carolina, for an experienced cardiac progressive care nurse seeking a 13-week contract near Asheville and the Great Smoky Mountains. Join an on-site, 22-bed progressive care unit caring for adult patients requiring cardiac observation, telemetry, post-cardiac catheterization, and cardioversion care.

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,840–$1,940

PCU Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in North Carolina
• At least 2 years of progressive care, step-down, or intensive care nursing experience
• Cardiac nursing experience, including care for telemetry and post-procedure patients
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Experience caring for an adult patient population
• Ability to float to appropriate areas as needed
• Strong communication skills, flexibility, and a team-oriented approach
• Willingness to follow unit dress requirements, including navy scrubs

Travel PCU RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a cardiac progressive care and telemetry setting
• Monitor patients requiring telemetry and recognize changes in cardiac status
• Care for cardiac observation, post-cardiac catheterization, and cardioversion patients
• Complete patient assessments, medication administration, care planning, and clinical documentation
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Maintain safe patient ratios while delivering compassionate, evidence-based nursing care
• Float to appropriate units when needed while maintaining quality and continuity of care
• Participate in every-other-weekend coverage as scheduled
