Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Flowood, Mississippi
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,570–$1,650
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift Pattern: 3/2 split schedule—four shifts one week and three shifts the next
• Weekend Schedule: Alternating weekends
• Contract Duration: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Start Date: October 12, 2026
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 6:1
• Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse assignment

Medical-Surgical RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Mississippi
• At least 1 year of recent medical-surgical nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Recent experience with Cerner or a comparable electronic medical record system
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and alternating weekends
• Permanent residence located at least 50 miles from the assignment location
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and teamwork skills

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to adult patients on a medical-surgical unit
• Complete comprehensive patient assessments, monitor patient status, and promptly recognize changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with orders, policies, and professional standards
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with providers, therapists, nursing staff, patients, and families to support positive outcomes
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge plans
• Promote a safe, respectful, and efficient care environment while managing an assigned patient load
