Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,040–$2,150

• Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:5–6, with two patient care technicians supporting the unit

Travel Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois, in hand
• At least 1 year of recent acute-care telemetry, cardiac, or pulmonary nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Ability to work night shifts, four 12-hour shifts per week, and every other weekend
• Return-to-work requests must be submitted at the time of application

Telemetry Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on a cardiac and pulmonary telemetry unit
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, neurological status, and changes in patient condition
• Recognize and respond promptly to clinical deterioration and cardiac or pulmonary complications
• Administer medications and treatments safely and evaluate patient responses
• Collaborate with providers, patient care technicians, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and communicate pertinent patient information during handoffs
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, recovery, and discharge instructions
