• Hours: No guaranteed hours

Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg or Telemetry Registered Nurse experience
• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Ohio
• Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association
• Ability to provide safe, compassionate nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Strong patient assessment, clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
• BSN and professional nursing certification are preferred

Medical-Surgical Telemetry Nursing Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring medical-surgical or telemetry-level care
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, laboratory results, and changes in patient condition
• Perform focused and comprehensive nursing assessments and promptly escalate clinical concerns
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established standards and provider orders
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge plans
• Accurately document patient care and communicate effectively during patient handoffs
