Travel Nursing Job Details

• End Date: January 12, 2027
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,150–$2,260
• Schedule: 4 shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 10-hour day shifts, 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Patient Population: Adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Operating Room Volume: Approximately 15–18 daily cases across 6 rooms
• Electronic Medical Record: Epic
• Local Candidate Policy: Candidates residing within 50 miles are not eligible

Operating Room RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey or a valid compact-state license in hand at the time of submission
• At least 1 year of recent operating room or perioperative nursing experience
• Strong orthopedic operating room nursing experience required
• Previous experience circulating surgical cases in orthopedic, spine, robotic, and general surgery
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Epic charting experience
• Ability to provide safe, effective care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply

Travel OR RN Responsibilities

• Circulate surgical procedures while maintaining a safe, efficient, and organized operating room environment
• Support orthopedic, spine, general, thoracic, vascular, gynecologic, urologic, ENT, plastic, and robotic procedures
• Assist with joint replacements, spinal fusions, laminectomies, thoracotomies, laparoscopic surgeries, cystoscopies, hysterectomies, fracture repairs, and other surgical procedures
• Operate and support surgical technologies, including Da Vinci robotic systems, Mako robotics, VATS, cell saver equipment, and specialty orthopedic equipment
• Complete specimen handling and labeling, universal protocol and time-out procedures, infection prevention, fire safety, radiation safety, and laser safety practices
• Administer and monitor blood and blood products according to established standards
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, surgical technologists, nurses, and other members of the perioperative care team
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and support continuity of care throughout the perioperative experience
