Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Ranson, West Virginia
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,000-$2,100
• Schedule: 36 hours per week

• Weekend and Holiday Schedule: Rotating weekends and holidays

Med/Surg Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in West Virginia or a valid compact-state RN license
• At least 1 year of recent medical-surgical or telemetry nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Recent EPIC electronic medical record charting experience required
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and rotate weekends and holidays
• Strong patient assessment, organization, communication, and clinical judgment skills

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and promptly identify changes in condition
• Provide wound management, catheter care, and continuous bladder irrigation (CBI)
• Care for patients with orthopedic and other acute medical conditions
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical standards and provider orders
• Monitor telemetry patients and communicate significant findings to the appropriate care team
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in EPIC
• Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary team members to support individualized care plans
• Promote patient safety, education, comfort, and discharge readiness
• Float to the telemetry unit when needed
