Travel RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800–$1,890
• Location: Asheville, North Carolina
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Start Date: September 28, 2026
• End Date: December 28, 2026
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 6:45 a.m.–7:15 p.m.
• Scheduling: Every other weekend and holiday support required
• Documentation System: Cerner
• On-Call: Not required
• Additional Information: Floating to other areas may be required; navy blue or white scrubs are required

PCU RN Travel Nurse Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license eligible to practice in North Carolina
• At least 1 year of recent experience in a progressive care, medical intensive care, or similar high-acuity setting within a large facility
• Demonstrated comfort with hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
• Strong critical-thinking, communication, adaptability, and teamwork skills
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Proficiency with critical care pharmacology, including IV sedation, paralytics, and vasopressors
• Experience with advanced hemodynamic monitoring and central line management

Progressive Care Nursing Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients requiring progressive care and ICU-level monitoring
• Monitor patients using advanced hemodynamic and cardiac monitoring techniques
• Manage ventilated patients and respond promptly to changes in clinical condition
• Administer and monitor critical care medications, including sedation, paralytics, and vasopressors
• Perform central line management and other advanced nursing interventions
• Assist providers with bedside procedures such as chest tube insertion and intubation
• Deliver clear bedside shift reports and collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team
• Support nurse leader rounding and contribute to a positive patient experience
• Float to other assigned areas as needed while maintaining safe, high-quality patient care
