Travel Nursing Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse assignment
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020–$2,130
• Location: Johnstown, Pennsylvania
• Start Date: October 12, 2026
• End Date: November 23, 2026
• Duration: 6 weeks
• Schedule: 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• Weekend Requirement: Two of four weekends per schedule, or four of eight weekend shift days; straight-weekend scheduling may be considered
• Call: Not required
• Unit: 22-bed adult Neuro Med/Surg unit
• Patient Ratios: Approximately 5:1 to 6:1
• Charting and Equipment: EPIC, cardiac monitors, GE EKG equipment, and Mindray vital sign machines

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure eligible for practice in Pennsylvania
• At least 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience in medical-surgical nursing; neuro nursing experience is strongly preferred
• Experience caring for adult patients with neurological and medical-surgical conditions
• NIH certification and swallow-screen experience preferred
• Competency in dysrhythmia recognition and cardiac monitoring
• Ability to successfully complete a dysrhythmia and medication-dosage assessment during orientation
• Ability to complete required screening and clearance requirements before the assignment start date
• Availability to work required weekend shifts and holidays as scheduled

Neuro Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients on a Neuro Med/Surg unit
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions using EPIC
• Care for patients with CVA, TIA, seizures, impaired mobility, respiratory conditions, urinary conditions, and related medical diagnoses
• Recognize changes in neurological status and cardiac rhythm and promptly communicate concerns
• Administer medications safely and perform dosage calculations in accordance with established standards
• Complete neurological assessments, fall-risk interventions, swallow-screen support, and individualized care planning
• Collaborate with providers, therapy teams, and other healthcare professionals to support safe patient outcomes
• Float to other units when needed, although floating is expected to be infrequent
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold a professional, patient-centered care environment
