Travel Nursing Job Details

• Specialty: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN)
• Location: Denver, Colorado
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910–$2,010
• Start Date: November 2, 2026
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks, ending February 1, 2027
• Schedule: 36 hours per week; 12-hour day shifts, approximately 11:00 a.m.–11:00 p.m.
• Department Overview: 24-bed Emergency Department with approximately 4:1 patient ratios, expanding to 5:1 during surges
• Clinical Environment: GE monitoring equipment and Meditech/CPN electronic medical records

Emergency Department Nurse Requirements

• At least 1 year of current hospital Emergency Department or Emergency Room nursing experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Colorado
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH, and CPI Blue Card certifications
• Current ENPC certification; PALS may be accepted in lieu of ENPC
• Strong patient assessment, prioritization, communication, and critical-thinking skills
• CEN certification, CPEN certification, U.S. IV competency, and pediatric Emergency Department experience are preferred
• Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented approach to emergency patient care

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Provide timely, safe, and compassionate nursing care to patients presenting with emergency and acute-care needs
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, support emergency department triage, provide ongoing monitoring, and complete timely reassessments
• Initiate and maintain IV access, perform venipuncture and port access, complete nasal washes, place Foley catheters, and perform other appropriate emergency nursing procedures
• Conduct point-of-care testing, including troponin, lactic acid, and urine dip testing
• Perform and interpret EKGs within the scope of practice and promptly communicate significant findings
• Collaborate with providers and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to stabilize patients and coordinate care
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, responses to treatment, and discharge or transfer information
• Maintain a calm, caring, and professional presence while supporting patients and families during stressful situations
