Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing Contract in Omak, WA

Travel RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,000–$2,100
• Location: Omak, Washington
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care Med/Surg Tele at a critical access hospital
• Start Date: October 19, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights, 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Call: Not required
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatric patients
• Typical Patient Ratio: Approximately 3 patients per nurse
• Floating: As needed within scope of practice
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Scheduling: Block scheduling may be available

Med/Surg Tele RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Washington; Washington RN license at submission is preferred
• At least 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience; 2 years of Med/Surg Tele nursing experience preferred for submission
• Previous critical access hospital experience required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Recent acute care, medical-surgical, and telemetry nursing experience caring for adult and geriatric patients
• Proficiency with cardiac telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and starting and maintaining IVs
• Ability to provide two years of specialty nursing references
• Ability to float within the Registered Nurse scope of practice as needed

Travel Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on an acute care medical-surgical telemetry unit
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize dysrhythmias, and initiate appropriate nursing interventions
• Assess patients, develop and update individualized plans of care, and evaluate clinical outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments while following established patient safety and infection-control standards
• Start and maintain peripheral IV access and manage related intravenous therapies
• Recognize changes in patient condition and communicate promptly with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Collaborate with physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, interpretation services, and unit support staff
• Complete accurate clinical documentation and support effective transitions of care
• Participate in every-other-weekend coverage and float within scope of practice when needed
