• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,730–$1,820
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.; approximately three shifts per week
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Three weekend shifts during each four-week scheduling period
• Patient Population: Adult patients with varying levels of acuity
• Unit Environment: Six-bed Burn ICU with ICU, PCU, telemetry, and medical-surgical acuity levels
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Floating: May float to like units, including ICU, PCU, and CCU, based on operational needs

ICU Travel Nurse Requirements

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Missouri
• At least 1 year of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience
• Experience caring for high-acuity adult patients
• Burn nursing experience preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIH certifications
• CRRT training and experience with hemodynamic monitoring preferred
• Proficiency with cardiac rhythm interpretation and hemodynamic medication titration
• ABLS certification preferred but not required
• Strong communication, teamwork, clinical judgment, and patient advocacy skills

Burn ICU Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult burn and critically ill patients throughout their stay.
• Assess patient status, recognize changes in condition, and implement timely interventions based on acuity.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic parameters, and response to treatment; titrate medications within scope and established protocols.
• Support or perform unit procedures within competency, including dressing changes, debridement care, line management, chest tube care, and post-procedural monitoring.
• Provide care for patients requiring advanced therapies, including CRRT, when trained and assigned.
• Complete accurate documentation in Meditech and participate in required bedside shift reports.
• Collaborate with burn surgeons, advanced practice providers, intensivists, rehabilitation services, pharmacy, dietary services, case management, and other members of the care team.
• Promote a respectful, patient-centered experience by treating every patient with courtesy, compassion, and dignity.
• Float to comparable critical care or progressive care areas when needed and contribute to a teamwork-oriented environment.
